Kaze (Wind) is a calligraphy artwork created as a counterpart to Nami (Wave).
In nature, wind is invisible, yet it is the force that initiates movement and change.

This work expresses the presence of wind as a sign, a beginning, and a subtle energy that exists before form appears.

The character Kaze is drawn with flowing, unconfined brushstrokes across a gently curved fan-shaped surface.
Soft layers of color suggest shifting air, humidity, and atmosphere, evoking the quiet movement of wind passing through space.

The textured washi paper in the background acts as a vessel for unseen currents, capturing traces of motion that cannot be seen directly.

風（かぜ）

― 波と対をなす作品 ―

この「風」は、「波」と対になる一対作品として制作されています。
自然界において、風と波は常に呼応し合い、互いの存在によってその姿を現します。
風は目に見えず、波はその動きを可視化したもの——
本作は、その関係性を書と構成によって表現しています。

扇形の画面に描かれた「風」の文字は、
形を定めず、流れ、拡散し、また集まるような筆致で構成されています。
淡く重ねられた色彩は、空気の揺らぎや湿度、温度の変化を想起させ、
静かでありながら、確かにそこに存在する気配を感じさせます。

背景に用いられた繊維質の和紙は、
風が空間を通り抜ける痕跡や、目に見えない流れを受け止める媒介のような役割を果たしています。
直線ではなく、緩やかな曲線を描く扇形の構成は、
風が一方向ではなく、広がりを持って巡る存在であることを象徴しています。
